About Us

The College was started on 2nd August, 2010 at the old building of Animal Husbandry Department at Munirabad, 23 km away from Koppal and 10 km from Hosapete with an intake of 27 students. College was shifted to the newly constructed building situated at Huligi Cross, NH-50, Munirabad on 28.02.2014 which was inaugurated by the Hon’ble Chief Minister, Govt. of Karnataka. The intake was gradually increased to 60 students during 2014-15. All the infrastructure facilities viz., hostels, library, laboratories, play ground, health centre, TV room, Mess, new staff quarters, nursery, tractor and other farm equipments etc., have been developed in the new campus. The college has established instructional blocks of various horticultural crops required for teaching and research. The farm has good irrigation facilities to meet the requirements of the campus. The total area of the farm is 75 acres, excluding 3 acres of water tank adjacent to the main building.
